Clauses

Detailed terms

Each clause below is enforceable across all rentals. Read carefully and keep a copy with your booking confirmation.

1. General

These clauses govern every TL Ghana rental engagement.

  • Terms may change at any time; the live site hosts the authoritative version.
  • Continuing to use our services confirms acceptance of any revision.

2. Eligibility

We verify competency, residency, and accountability before releasing a vehicle.

  • Self Drive rentals operate exclusively in Kumasi.
  • Minimum age is 35 with a Ghanaian driver’s license held for 12+ months.
  • A valid visa passport, Ghana Card, digital address, emergency contact, and guarantor are mandatory for Self Drive.
  • Self Drive rentals must be more than three days upwards.

3. Booking & Payment

Confirm bookings via our office or customer team with total cost clarity.

  • Self Drive requires full payment before dispatch in addition to the refundable cash lock (GHC 2,000 – 5,000 based on vehicle).
  • Daily charges span GHC 500 – 5,000, depending on the selected car category.
  • Pick and Drop service charges per hour after we pick up the customer (rate depends on the selected car).
  • Payments can be settled via cash, Mobile Money, or bank transfer.
  • We issue daily mileage updates through WhatsApp for transparent tracking.

4. Vehicle Use

Operate responsibly and return cars as received.

  • Return the vehicle in the same state excluding reasonable wear and tear.
  • You bear full liability for damages, theft, or loss during your rental window.
  • Strictly no illegal activity, sub-leasing, or unauthorized commercial engagements.

5. Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellations impact fleet allocation, so fees apply.

  • Cancel prior to the trip date: 40% cancellation charge applies.
  • Cancel on the same day: charged a full day’s rental.
  • Eligible refunds are processed within 7–10 business days.

6. Late Return Policy

Unplanned extensions disrupt itineraries and driver rosters.

  • Every late day adds another full daily rental charge.
  • Outstanding fees are deducted from the cash lock.
  • Return the car in approved condition to receive the remaining lock balance.

7. Fuel Policy

We launch and close every trip with a full tank.

  • Vehicles leave the depot with a full tank and must be returned the same way.
  • Any shortfall is billed at prevailing rates.

8. Safety & Maintenance

Preventive maintenance and pre-trip inspections protect both parties.

  • All fleet assets undergo routine servicing and safety checks.
  • Inspect the vehicle before departure and flag anomalies immediately.

9. Liability

We limit liability to the service expressly described.

  • TL Ghana is not liable for accidents, indirect damages, or losses incurred during your rental.

10. Privacy Policy

Your personal data stays protected.

  • We handle customer information per the TL Ghana Privacy Policy.
  • We only use personal data with transparency and clear operational need.
